These pictures, found in Lillie Margaret (Medlock) Ferguson's photo box, probably belonged to Lillie Ann Sampson. Lillie moved to Arkansas by 1910 to care for her ailing sister, Nettie Jane, and Nettie's three small children. Worrying about who would care for her children after her death, Nettie asked Lillie to marry her husband, Robert Medlock, and finish rearing her children. Nettie died December 31, 1915 and Lillie married Robert January 23, 1916. Having no children of her own, she devoted the rest of her life to Nettie's children and grandchildren. She was Janet's Grandma Lillie.
